The District Administration Office, Kailali has imposed curfew in the district effective from 2 pm today i.e. March 23 until further notice. This step is taken as a precautionary measure against the COVID-19 as the infection continues to claim thousands of lives across the world.
Issuing a notice here today, the DAO shared that in order to forbid public activities and gatherings and to minimize the risk of coronavirus outbreak the decision was made. The 19 essential supplies and services as mentioned in the Nepal gazette will resume despite the curfew.
The curfew is imposed as per the Local Administration Act and those breaching the curfew will be booked, the notice reads.
