In a recent event held in Pokhara, Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati, emphasized the importance of making future tourism in Nepal more culture- and tourism-friendly. The occasion was the distribution ceremony of the 'Hem Devi region culture and social service award-2080,' organized by the Bindhyabasini religious area development committee.

Minister Kirati expressed his vision for Nepal's tourism sector, stating that it should leverage the country's originality rather than copying other nations. He emphasized that the future development of tourism should be centered around culture and nature. He stated, "The tourism of Nepali originality is the integration of culture and nature."

Furthermore, Minister Kirati predicted that Nepal would become a global tourism hub in the coming years. He envisioned millions of tourists from around the world coming to Nepal to meditate in its serene landscapes. He believed that not only the major landmarks but also the streets, temples, clothing, and languages of Nepal would become tourist attractions.

During the event, Minister Kirati presented the prestigious 'Hem Devi Religion, Culture, and Social Service Award-2080' to Muktinath Peethadhishwor Swami Kamalanayancharya Maharaj (Muktinath Baba). This award, which carries a cash prize of Rs 101,000 and a certificate, was established by Hem Bahadur Pradhan, the founder president of the Bindhyabasini religious area development committee, in honor of his parents. Swami Kamalanayancharya Maharaj received the award in recognition of his significant contributions to the development of religious sites such as Muktinath, Bindhyabasini, and Panchkot of Baglung, as well as his contributions to Sanatan religion and culture.

The 'Hem Devi Religion, Culture, and Social Service Award-2080' is presented biennially to individuals actively engaged in Nepal's social sector, according to the committee secretary, Tirtha Shrestha. Previous recipients of the award include Satya Mohan Shrestha, Aatma Nanda Giri, Tulasi Dibas, and Durga Ghimire._Rss
