The cultural and tourism festival is going to be held in Damauli with the goal of attracting local and foreign tourists along with the promotion of local language, religion, art and culture.

The 5th Tanahun cultural and tourism festival is being held in Damauli under the auspices of the District Coordinating Council of the Nepal Tribal Tribes Association.

The festival has been organized from the 22nd of Poush to the 3rd of Magh with the slogan of "Protecting the precious language and culture, developing tourism while reviving the language and culture."

The festival is taking place at the playground of VP Forest Park. Famous artists of the national level will be brought to entertain the audience.

Priority will be given to local products in the agricultural exhibition. In the exhibition hall, there will be handicrafts, hotels and restaurants, dairies, IT electricals, banks and financial institutions, ice cream stalls, automobiles, local product displays, and stalls for other sales items.

Free entry has been arranged for senior citizens and disabled persons in the festival. The ticket fee has been fixed at Rs. 50 for students and Rs. 70 for others. According to the organizers, the goal is to attract local and foreign tourists along with the promotion of the local languages, religion, art, and cultures.

At the festival, there are attractions such as Jalvihar in Madi and Seti, an exhibition of tribal rituals from birth to death, lifestyle presentation, construction of model houses, cultural programs, school-level talent development, etc.

National artists such as Pashupati Sharma, Khem Century, Raju Pariyar, Preeti Ale, Bhumika Giri, Kala Lamsal, Badri Pangeni, Supreme Malla, Yakkan Lamichhane Magar, Asha BC, Suman Pariyar, Sandipsin Rana, Asmita Dallakoti and others will be present at the festival.

“230 rooms have been constructed at the festival site. In addition to three lakh guests visiting the festival, a financial turnover of Rs 1 crore has been set,” said the spokesperson of the festival Nandu Thapa Magar._Rss
