Myagdi festival and state-level agriculture, tourism, industrial, and business fair-2079 have started in Beni. The festival held on the occasion of the Maghe Sankranti festival will be held for ten days at the open stage of Beni under the original plan of the Myagdi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
On the occasion of the opening of the festival, various castes, communities, and organizations have taken out stalls with tableaus in Beni Bazar. The festival was organized with the aim of market promotion of local products, and preservation of art and culture, highlighting the potential of tourism, agriculture, hydropower, mineral, and animal husbandry sectors, bringing in investment and bringing in business knowledge, capital, and technology.
It is expected that the festival will help in bringing in internal and external tourists by promoting religious, cultural, historical, and tourist places, in addition to creating jobs and helping in earning money, raising awareness about sports and education, and creating opportunities for talent recognition.
Bel Bahadur Katuwal, president of Myagdi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that on the occasion of the festival, municipal-level women's volleyball, folk repetition, chamber folk star, men's basketball, stick pulling, ratayuli, Chelo throwing, and andhanishan competitions were organized.
Along with local production and national and international industrial exhibition, song and dance performance by artists, a children's garden, and mini zoo are the attractions. Arrangements have been made to observe tourist spots including the Dhaulagiri base camp by helicopter. Rafting in Kaligandaki and a horse safari from Beni to Lovelyhill will also be the attractions of the festival.
One and a half lakh internal and external tourists will be brought to the festival. It is estimated that there will be a turnover of 10 crores. There are 260 stalls at the festival site. Agricultural Knowledge Center has organized the Agricultural Fair Exhibition. On the occasion of Maghe Sankranti, a fair was traditionally held in Beni._Rss
