Australian ambassador to Nepal, Peter Budd called on minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai at the latter’s office in Singha Durbar in the capital today. 

Issues related to resuming two-way flights were discussed in the meeting.  They also held discussions on exchanging experiences of both countries to combat COVID-19 and normalizing its effect and trauma.   

Minister Bhattarai thanked ambassador Budd for his initiations to bring Nepalis home from Australia during the lockdown.  Similarly, ambassador Budd also thanked Nepal for its cooperation in repatriating Australian citizens to Australia.  Ambassador Budd also committed to talk to his government regarding resuming flights between the two countries.
