Aloft Kathmandu Thamel will commemorate International Women's Day 2025 with an exciting event focused on empowering women and promoting their creativity and well-being. The celebration will take place on March 9, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM at the Aloft Hotel & Chhaya Center Courtyard, showcasing a variety of activities and CSR initiatives under the theme #AccelerateAction.
The global theme, #AccelerateAction, emphasizes the urgency to advance gender equality by empowering women through education, entrepreneurship, and community involvement. The event seeks to inspire change and offer opportunities to thrive.
The event aims to provide a platform for women entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses through stalls, alongside art competitions, live music, fun games with gift vouchers, and workshops on menstrual health and hygiene. The Menstrual Hygiene Workshop, designed to raise awareness and empower women with essential knowledge, will be one of the key highlights of the celebration. n addition, the Women Entrepreneurs Market will feature local women-owned businesses, fostering connections with the community.
This event also reflects Aloft Kathmandu Thamel's ongoing support for local communities, with beneficiaries including Amma Ghar, Pabitra Samaj Sewa, and the Orphan and Helpless Children Development Society.
