Following the successful resumption of the flight between Kathmandu and Hong Kong, Cathay Pacific is adding flights, enabling passengers to travel non-stop between Kathmandu and Hong Kong with double flights every Friday and Saturday. Customers can book tickets on Cathay Pacific’s website or through their agency partners.
Head of Sales and Country Lead for Nepal, Junu Maleku, said, "On announcing the resumption of our passenger services from Kathmandu, we received a favourable response from our passengers and trade partners. It was humbling to welcome back our guests as we took to the skies again, but also extremely encouraging as we looked to scale up our local and global network operations. "
In addition to the airline’s cargo-only passenger flights between Kathmandu and Hong Kong, the increase in passenger operations further supports the cargo demand on this route by providing additional cargo capacity in the form of aircraft belly space.
Cathay Pacific is continuing to add as many passenger flights for customers as is feasible in response to the Hong Kong SAR Government's latest measures to remove the hotel quarantine arrangement for passengers arriving in Hong Kong. The airline added more than 400 flight sectors to and from regional and long-haul destinations in October and has resumed passenger flights to five destinations this month, including Kathmandu. In addition to the flight sectors previously scheduled for November and December, Cathay Pacific will add close to 700 and 1,200 sectors, respectively. This will add more than half a million seats for passengers.
Customers can also take advantage of an array of offers when booking with Cathay Pacific, including exclusive student discounts to the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan and 20% off Hong Kong’s Airport Express service when travelling to Hong Kong.
