Police today have impounded as many as 300 vehicles for breaching lockdown orders enforced by the government to prevent the COVID-19 spread. Teams mobilized from the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division took control of vehicles from different areas of Kathmandu Valley.
Division Spokesperson SP Jeewan Kumar Shrestha informed that these vehicles were impounded. “People who had come out from their homes were also sent back after briefing them about the lockdown order as a coronavirus preventive measure,” he said.
As many as 1,000 vehicles were impounded from various places across the country on Tuesday for breaching lockdown orders.
