The airlines’ crew visited Centre for Employment and Elderly Care ‘Ehsan’ in Doha on July 31 to show their appreciation by interacting and presenting gifts

As a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, Qatar Airways organised a visit to the Centre for Empowerment and Elderly Care 'Ehsan' on July 31 where the airline pilots and cabin crew presented gifts to show appreciation. The State of Qatar’s National Flag carrier wanted to raise awareness on the importance of empowering the elderly and show appreciation to the builders of the nation. The pilots and cabin crew spent time with the elderly and helped raise their spirits. In an act of sheer kindness and gratefulness, the airlines presented them with gifts which was a pleasant surprise.

Qatar Airways Senior Vice President Marketing and Corporate Communications, Salam Al Shawa said, “This visit is a part of our Corporate Social Responsibility as the national carrier of The State of Qatar to appreciate the older generation for building Qatar to make it what it is today.”

Ehsan contributes to elderly empowerment in the State of Qatar and provides them with all needed care services. The centre aims at ensuring the elderly are at their homes and not forced into facilities thereby reducing sheltering. It also helps raise awareness about their social rights and fundamental concerns, in addition to the much needed communication between generations.
“They reflected their enthusiasm and interest as the national carrier of the State of Qatar. This initiative encourages social responsibility towards society in general and on the elderly particularly,” said Mubarak bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Executive Director of the Centre for Empowerment and Elderly Care 'Ehsan'.
