A week-long Human Capital Development (HCD) training program on ‘SMART Practices for managing Hotels’ was held by PATA Nepal Chapter from July 1 to July 6 at Buddha Maya Garden in Lumbini. A total of 34 executives and staff working at 17 different hotels and restaurants in the Lumbini region actively participated in the programme.
The training programme was conducted in collaboration with Nepal Tourism Board (Organising Partner), Buddha Maya Garden (Hospitality Partner) and Residency Hotel Academy (Implementation Partner).
The aim of the program was to build standards of the hotels in the Lumbini region and to offer better services. They focused on SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-bound) practices for responsible and profitable hotel business operation and taught the participants other key attributes of hospitality. The program mainly focused on building Human Capital.
