Successful tests of paragliding completed in Rasuwa

The district looks to expand into adventure tourism

Paragliding flights have been tested in the northern part of the Rasuwa district on June 28 for the sole purpose of engaging domestic and international travellers. Pema Dorje Tamang, Chairperson of the Consumer Committee, Langtang National Park said, two paragliding test flights were conducted from Khokrang, Gosaikunda Rural Municipality 5 (2700 mt) to Thulo Syafru at a distance of 10 km.

 Shankharapur Paragliding Company was the first to conduct said flights in the district. According to the flight instructor, the flights can be easily facilitated except for when there are unfavourable weather conditions.
