The hotel is celebrating June as their CSR month particularly dedicated to doing responsible business with themes ‘Think Planet’, ‘Think Community’ and ‘Think People’.The hotel organised ‘Make a Difference Campaign’ on June 19, 2019. Make a difference campaign launched on October 22, 2018 to March 31, 2019 worldwide by Radisson Hotel Group and was adopted by all member hotels across the globe to donate USD 1 per room night to SOS Children’s Villages. Radisson Hotel Kathmandu donated USD 901 to SOS Children’s Villages, Sanothimi as a part of the campaign. In the handover ceremony, HR Director of Radisson Hotel Kathmandu, Kiran Pant, highlighted the key importance of a sustainable partnership between companies and social units to strengthen and enhance the social well-being in the national and international level. National Director of SOS Children’s Villages, Ishwari Prasad Sharma, Nepal expressed gratitude towards the impactful initiative after receiving the donation amount from Rooms Division Manager of Radisson Hotel Kathmandu, Deepak Man Pradhan. Radisson Hotel Kathmandu has also been providing scholarships to students at SOS Children’s Villages Sanothimi.
The hotel organised ‘Support in Special Children's Mobility Campaign’ on June 20, 2019. The main highlight of the campaign was the handover of 5 special wheelchairs to children with permanent movement disorders at Cerebral Palsy Nepal. Bimal Lal Shrestha, CEO, Cerebral Palsy Nepal, expressed how surprised and impressed the entire team is with the increasing trend of companies calling up for collaboration such as Radisson Hotel Kathmandu. He also believes when more corporate houses come up to them with the willingness to support, it will be a little easier to spread awareness about the condition and its treatment. Towards the end of the campaign, the employees of Radisson Hotel Kathmandu also procured handmade floor mats, candles, bags and postcards made and placed on display by the differently abled children at Cerebral Palsy Nepal.
