The Langtang National Park Office, Rasuwa has finished its search campaign in the forest under its work area for animal welfare

Sushma Rana, Head of Langtang National Park Conservation Office, said that when the inspection was conducted under the campaign from Rasuwa to Sindhupalchok, 22 wire traps were found set by poachers. Rana also informed that the joint patrol of the Nepal Army, local youth and staff members of the Langtang National Park Office deployed for safety and security, managed to rescue two injured animals while four animals were found dead during the operation in the forest area.

According to the official of Langtang National Park, the tourists who came to visit the Himalayan region brought 12 drone cameras without permission. A press conference was also organised to inform the locals about conservation works within the national park. Security posts were also built within the forest area for the security of the Langtang National Park, spreading around 1,710 sq km of the Himalaya region under Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Sindhupalchok districts.
