1,511 new cases of COVID-19 with 81 deaths

A total of 1,511 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours.

A total of 1,511 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours. This was revealed in 12,414 sample tests including 7,461 through RT-PCR and 4,953 through antigen tests carried out in various laboratories across the country. 

This takes the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 627,854, with another 29,037 testing positive to antigen test. Likewise, during the period 3,558 people recovered from the Corona Virus, taking the total number of recoveries to 568,440. The recovery percentage is 90.5 per cent

Meanwhile, 81 people died of COVID-19 in the same period, with the death toll climbing to 8,894. Currently, 47,286 people are in home and institutional isolation. Of them, 734 are undergoing treatment in ICU while 213 are with ventilator support.
