NTNC has managed an ambulance for rescuing the injured or sick wild animals for the first time in Sauraha, Nepal

The National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) stated that the ambulance has been brought for use by the Wildlife Hospital that is being operated in Sauraha. According to NTNC Sauraha's Oficiating Chief, Ram Kumar Aryal, the ambulance will provide service in all the districts of the Terai, including the Chitwan National Park.

He also stated that the ambulance has oxygen and cage adjustable to the size of the wild animal. Although the public zoo has an ambulance for the wild animals, it was not brought into use outside of Kathmandu Valley. Wildlife conservationists believe that the opening of the Wildlife Hospital will provide much support in wildlife conservation efforts.
