Lemon Tree Premier Budhanilkantha celebrated World Environment Day with a week-long series of clean-up campaigns, promoting sustainability and community engagement. Activities included temple cleaning and a collaborative effort to restore popular hiking trails.

Kathmandu, 7 June 2025 — In celebration of World Environment Day, Lemon Tree Premier Budhanilkantha in Kathmandu marked the occasion with a dedicated week of environmental action, reaffirming its commitment to sustainability and local community engagement.

On 5th June, the hotel led a major clean-up drive at the revered Budhanilkantha Temple—one of the city’s most iconic cultural and religious landmarks. This initiative formed a key part of Lemon Tree’s Environment Week, aimed at encouraging environmental awareness, cleanliness, and the protection of sacred spaces.

The week’s activities extended beyond the temple grounds. On 7th June, Lemon Tree Premier joined forces with the Nepal Army, Nepal Scout, and event partner Ultimate Venue for a large-scale clean-up campaign along the heavily used Tarebhir hiking trails. Volunteers from all participating organisations came together to clean the trails and surrounding natural areas,
reinforcing the importance of maintaining Nepal’s natural beauty and encouraging eco-friendly
tourism practices.
The campaign drew enthusiastic participation, united by a common goal of preserving Nepal’s pristine landscapes and promoting eco-conscious travel.

Through ongoing efforts such as clean-up drives, educational outreach, and community collaborations, Lemon Tree Premier Budhanilkantha continues to lead by example in environmental stewardship—helping shape a greener, cleaner future for travellers and locals alike.

Lemon Tree Premier Budhanilkantha remains devoted to environmental responsibility through ongoing clean-up efforts, educational programs, and strong community partnerships.
