The Nepal Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), situated in Naxal, hosted an international art exhibition, showcasing works produced during the two-day international art workshop held on February 5-6, 2024. Featuring creations from 43 artisans hailing from Nepal and Germany, this weeklong expo is not merely a display of artistic prowess but a celebration of cultural exchange and dialogue. It serves as a platform for artists to forge connections, share diverse experiences, and engage in cross-border collaborations. Beyond the artists, the exhibition provides viewers with an opportunity to expand their perspectives, gain fresh insights, and delve into the richness of global artistic expression.
Themed 'Connecting Culture Through Arts,' the event boasts the participation of 10 foreign artists and holds the promise of strengthening bilateral relations between Nepal and Germany, as emphasized by NAFA Chancellor Naradmani Hartamchhali. This significant cultural gathering attracted the attention of high-profile visitors, including Minister of State for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Sushila Sirpali Thakuri, Israel’s Ambassador to Nepal, Hanan Godar, and German Ambassador to Nepal, Dr. Thomas Prinz. During their visit, Minister of State Sirpali underscored the importance of sustaining such cultural events in the future, recognizing their role in fostering mutual understanding and appreciation across borders.
