Skål Wildlife Focus, Chitwan 2025 is a landmark tourism event uniting industry leaders to promote sustainable wildlife tourism and community-driven conservation in Nepal. Hosted by Skål International Nepal, the program highlights Chitwan’s potential as a hub for eco-tourism and cultural synergy.

Kathmandu, Nepal – May 7, 2025 – Skål International Nepal, the country's most trusted name in the tourism sector, proudly announces "Skål Wildlife Focus, Chitwan 2025", a landmark three-day event aimed at redefining wildlife tourism in Nepal. Scheduled from May 9–11, 2025 at the Riverbank Jungle Resort, Patihani, this event will gather 150 key stakeholders, including hoteliers, tour operators, wildlife experts, airline professionals and government dignitaries, to focus on sustainable tourism, conservation and community development.

With 85 prominent members from across Nepal’s tourism spectrum; including leading hotels, DMCs, travel companies, airlines, homestays and sustainable tourism networks—Skål International Nepal has been at the forefront of promoting ethical tourism and strengthening local communities. 


Event Mission: Wildlife, Culture & Coexistence


The theme of Skål Wildlife Focus, Chitwan 2025 is to promote Chitwan as the epicenter of wildlife tourism in Nepal, with potential linkages to sacred and cultural destinations such as Lumbini, Janakpur, and Devghat. Through this initiative, Skål aims to champion the coexistence of nature, culture, wildlife, and communities, enhancing both environmental conservation and socio-economic development.

The program highlights, Skål Wildlife Focus, Chitwan 2025, offers an engaging and impactful itinerary designed to blend conservation, culture and collaboration. The program includes immersive destination visits to key wildlife and cultural sites, allowing participants to experience the unique richness of Chitwan. Highlights include talks and presentations by renowned wildlife experts, the unveiling of new tourism products and programs, and cultural showcases celebrating the traditions of the region. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and courtesy of Shangri-La Hospitality Group, Skål will distribute school bags and stationery to local schoolchildren to support educational development.

This landmark event aims to promote sustainable wildlife tourism in Nepal while reinforcing the importance of biodiversity conservation and community empowerment. By creating and updating tourism products, Skål seeks to align wildlife tourism with emerging trends and traveller expectations. The event will spotlight opportunities to connect wildlife tourism with sacred sites like Devghat, and to introduce an extended wildlife trail covering Parsa National Park. Another key goal is to familiarize tour operators with the evolving tourism landscape in Chitwan, and to encourage collaboration between tourism stakeholders and local government bodies. Skål Wildlife Focus also serves to bridge connections between local hotels, tourism professionals and communities, helping to raise conservation awareness and improve livelihoods. Ultimately, the event aims to establish Chitwan as the definitive hub for "Wildlife and More," while strongly advocating for ecotourism, sustainability, and biodiversity protection.
