Nepali citizens travelling to India will not be required to undergo the RT-PCR test any longer, as per the new COVID-19 travel guidelines.The Indian government, easing the restrictions on overseas arrivals, has decided to allow travellers from 82 countries including Nepal, to upload their certificate of complete Covid-19 vaccination instead of prior RT-PCR negative results.

However, submission of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours of scheduled travel too can be submitted instead of the complete vaccination certificate.The vaccination status details should be provided in a self-declaration form available on the Air Suvidha online portal before scheduled travel.
