Alina Chaudhary, one of the outstanding naturalists at Barahi Jungle Lodge, has been awarded the prestigious Lodge Naturalist of the Year 2024 by TOFTigers.Chaudhary’s achievement was celebrated at a grand ceremony on December 6, 2024, at Bikaner House in New Delhi, India. This accolade celebrates her exceptional contributions to wildlife conservation, sustainable tourism, and the empowerment of women in a traditionally male-dominated field.

The award ceremony took place on December 6, 2024, at the elegant Bikaner House in New Delhi, India. Out of five shortlisted candidates, Alina stood out as the only female recipient in the category, marking a historic moment for female representation in conservation and tourism.

Alina’s passion for nature is deeply rooted in her family’s legacy of wildlife conservation. Inspired by her father’s work in tourism and her grandparents’ dedication to protecting forests and wildlife, she has embraced this calling with determination and pride.

Breaking barriers as the only daughter in her family to pursue a career in conservation, Alina earned her naturalist license from the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) in 2019. Alina’s achievement underscores the growing influence of women in conservation and sustainable tourism. In a field historically dominated by men, her passion and resilience serve as an inspiration for others, proving that women can lead with equal vigor and impact.

“At Barahi Jungle Lodge, we are committed to promoting gender equality and empowering women in every aspect of our operations,” said Prakash Chand, GM of Barahi Jungle Lodge. “Alina’s success is a shining example of how women are reshaping the narrative of conservation and tourism, bringing fresh perspectives and unparalleled dedication to the field.”
