Hotel Association Nepal Mobilizes Member Hotels to Support Bhotekoshi Flood Victims

Hotel Association Nepal has appealed to its member hotels nationwide for financial and material aid, mourned the lives lost, and arranged free lodging for families of those still missing after the devastating Bhotekoshi flood in Rasuwa.

Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) has paid tribute to the Nepali and foreign nationals, including tourists, who lost their lives in the flood that struck Rasuwa's Bhotekoshi area, extending condolences to bereaved families and wishing a swift recovery to the injured. The association also expressed hope that search and rescue operations for those still unaccounted for would soon reach a positive conclusion.

Following HAN's appeal for support, the majority of its member hotels have already contributed to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund, with more expected in the coming days. Confirmed contributors include Hotel Kingsbury (NPR 1,11,00,000), Chandragiri Hills (NPR 52,51,000), Hotel Mechi Crown (NPR 26,00,000), Everest Hotel (NPR 20,00,000), Ramada Encore Thamel (NPR 11,11,111), Hotel Crown Imperial and Mount Glory Forest Resort & Spa under Orchid Glory Limited (NPR 5,11,111), Dream Group Butwal (NPR 5,03,000), Hotel Sarathi (NPR 1,65,000), Hotel Ambassador and Club Himalaya (NPR 1,00,000 each), and HAN Sindhuli (NPR 1,04,285), alongside contributions from Dhulikhel Mountain Resort, Hotel Nans and Hotel Melamchi. Employees at Chandragiri Hills, Crown Imperial and Mount Glory Resort & Spa have also donated personally.

HAN's own relief fund has received support from Airport Hotel, Grand Hotel, Hotel Swagatam and Hotel Rainforest, among others, with the collected funds to be channelled toward relief work. Several member hotels are additionally delivering food, clothing and medicine directly to affected communities and local authorities.

To assist relatives in Nepal and foreign tourists seeking news of missing family members, HAN has coordinated with provincial and district associations to arrange free accommodation and meals. The association is also working with the Nepal Tourism Board's dedicated desk for missing tourists' families, providing information, coordination and humanitarian support to those who have lost contact with loved ones.

HAN said it will hold a prayer service in tribute to those who lost their lives in the disaster, offering condolences to grieving families and standing in solidarity with the affected communities.
