Fully vaccinated travellers from Europe will not require COVID 19 tests upon entry

Travellers from Europe holding European vaccine passports will not be required to undergo COVID 19 tests before entering the country. This rule will come into effect from next week, according to the Greek Health Minister, Thanos Plevris. The nation loosened its travel restrictions, and has set its goals at a 4.5 per cent economic growth this year.
Plevris said in a televised statement, "As of Monday, those with active European (vaccination) certificates will enter without obligatory testing."
The Greece Tourism Minister, Vassilis Kikilias, has also said that the country is already preparing to welcome tourists from March 1. Greece is quite an important destination for tourists, as it offers unique experiences, and gives a taste of the Mediterranean. The country largely banks on tourism, which accounts for about a quarter of its economy. The Tourism Minister also mentioned that the country is expecting an all-time record in cruise ship arrivals this year. The country recorded over 2 million COVID 19 cases, and 23,000 deaths over the pandemic.
