Etihad Airways unveils summer holiday flights

Etihad unveils its summer network with holiday flights to the Greece's touristy island of Crete, along with the destinations of Malaga, Santorini and Zanzibar

With the summer of 2022 indicating a rebound and revival of the global travel and tourism network, Etihad Airways, one of the most significant air carriers in Abu Dhabi International Airport adds new summer holiday flights showing the return of popular seasonal routes to Europe and the Indian Ocean. 

From June 15th, the carrier will launch a seasonal twice-per-week service to Crete, the largest island in Greece. This hopes to connect Abu Dhabi to the tourism destination of Crete island, which is a rich tapestry of landscapes and culture with cities like Heraklion and such historic sites like the Palace of Knossos. 

In addition to this new route, the airline has also announced to return to other destinations like Malaga, Santorini and Zanzibar this summer. All of these routes and flights were to be operated from mid-June. Etihad Airways has told that the summer beach and mountain adventures of Crete and the tourists' hotspots of Malaga, Santorini and Zanzibar is a perfect addition to Etihad's summer airline network.
