The new structure built after the demolition of the Beldhunga in the form of a stone-printed railing, entrance, information board and a natural view tower has made it more attractive.
Beldhunga is located on the border of Kathekhola Rural Municipality-3 Dhamja Okhale of Baglung and Beni Municipality-3 Bhakimli of Myagdi. The infrastructure was built in Baledhunga, which became deserted after the upper part was destroyed by a landslide, in partnership with the Gandaki provincial government and local people. Tourists coming to Beldhunga have become comfortable because of the community housing established in Dhamja's Okhale. From here, you can observe Himshankhala, Myagdi headquarters Beni and the high mountain range.
After the initiative and efforts of the local residents of both districts, now Beldhunga has not only brought a new form but Beldhunga has already been recognized nationally. Beldhunga, which is anonymous, is becoming a center of tourist attraction due to its characteristics and publicity. For the development of Beldhunga, the Gandaki state government allocated a budget of Rs 20 lakh two years ago and Rs 20 lakh in the current financial year.
After about two hours of road travel, the destination can be reached from Baglung Bazar and can be easily reached from Myagdi. Manakumari Bhandari, a local, says that seeing the beautiful mountain range seen from Beldhunga at a height of 2,612 meters above sea level, the villages of two different districts, and the natural scenery is enticing.
The damaged Beldhunga of Kathekhola Rural Municipality was repaired at a cost of Rs.259,000. The road has reached Deurali in Okhla. From there you can reach Beldhunga by using a 260-meter footpath. Sunrise can also be seen from here along with sightseeing. Most of the tourists stay at home and reach Beldhunga in the morning to watch the sunrise.
“The arrival of Beldhunga was very happy and added energy. I heard about it in the news and on social media, but when I arrived, it was even better than I had imagined. The view of the footpath and mountains are amazing” said Ramesh KC of the Jaimini Municipality.
“Tourists have started coming here due to the naming of the top of the natural hill, publicity and infrastructure construction. The municipality and Gandaki province have supported us, we have also been running Gharbas for five years” said Gopal Sris, who is also the manager of Beldhunga Community Gharbas._Rss
