In Tihar, students from the Magar Community, an indigenous people in Chitwan performed a deusi-bhailo cultural performance to raise RS. 4, 50,000.

The Tihar festival’s deusi-bhailo cultural program was held in order to bolster the Magar Student’s revolving fund.

On October 24-29, the deusi-bhailo program was co-hosted by the Nepal Magar Cultural Association district committee in Chitwan and the Nepal Magar student Association in Chitwan.

“Half of the total amount raised will be put into the district’s Magar Student Revolving Fund and the other half will go into the account of Magar Student Association.

“The fund has been activated to annually give scholarships and educational supplies to exceptional, underprivileged, gifted, and needy students.” Said Milan Thapa Magar, Secretay of Magar Student Association.

“In the district, a revolving fund of RS.5, 00,000 was established in 2075 BS. Its interest is being piqued in order to annually give 30-35 students educational materials and scholarships” he revealed._Rss
