Minister for Women, Children, and Senior Citizens, Uma Regmi has said arrangements would be made for administering vaccines against COVID-19 to children at the earliest.

Talking to journalists here today, she said the government was working on making arrangements for administering vaccines to children above five years.

"Trial of the vaccine is being carried out abroad. The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be brought to Nepal as well after the trials are successful," the Minister said, adding that the government will bring the vaccines as soon as possible.

Stating that all citizens should be aware of further preventing the spread of coronavirus infection, Minister Regmi said those who have not taken the vaccines should be extra cautious.

She also shared that the Ministry has already started formulating plans for the welfare of women, children, and senior citizens.

On a different topic, Minister Regmi said it was not good to pull the judiciary into controversy. "The conflict seen in the Supreme Court should be resolved. It is not good to bring the judiciary into controversy," she warned.
