Cathay Pacific now offers complimentary Wi-Fi to its First and Business class passengers, keeping them connected throughout their flights. The airline, which has been providing free Wi-Fi to First class customers since 2022, has now expanded this service to Business class travellers on all connected aircraft. Additionally, starting in November, Cathay Diamond members across all cabins will also enjoy free Wi-Fi as part of this enhanced service.
Lavinia Lau, Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, emphasized the airline’s focus on elevating the customer experience, saying, “At Cathay Pacific, we are committed to investing in and further enhancing the experience we provide for our customers. With complimentary Wi-Fi now available to customers travelling in First and Business class, and coming soon to our Cathay Diamond members, they can stay connected in the air whether travelling for business or leisure.”
With this complimentary service, customers will have access to all the same features as paid Wi-Fi, including the ability to check emails, browse the internet, stream audio, use social media, access messaging apps, and work with cloud storage and other professional tools. Customers can connect one device at a time and have the flexibility to switch between devices during the flight, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity for both work and personal use.
In addition, passengers in all cabins can access cathaypacific.com and Cathay Shop for free during their flight, giving them an added convenience while traveling. This service has been designed to ensure that customers can make the most of their time in the air, whether it's for productivity or entertainment.
Currently, over 90% of Cathay Pacific’s fleet is equipped with Wi-Fi, including all long-haul aircraft. The airline is on track to equip its entire fleet with Wi-Fi connectivity by mid-2025, ensuring that passengers on both short-haul and long-haul flights can stay connected throughout their journey.
