Cathay celebrated and honored top travel agents from Nepal for their immense support to the airline at the Wings of Excellence Awards night

Cathay, the Hong Kong-based premium travel lifestyle brand, celebrated top travel agents from Nepal at the Wings of Excellence awards night, held on 23 May 2024 at the Kathmandu Marriott Hotel. This event recognized the significant support from travel and cargo industry partners, highlighting their resilience and the industry's remarkable resurgence.

The event was graced by Cathay’s Regional General Manager for South Asia, Middle East, and Africa, Rakesh Raicar, Regional Head of Customer Travel and Lifestyle, Anand Yedery, Regional Head of Cargo, Rajesh Menon, and Country Lead Nepal, Junu Maleku. They expressed their gratitude to Cathay’s key travel and cargo partners in Nepal.

The ceremony honored Cathay’s top five partner agents in both the travel and cargo sectors for their steadfast support. Osho World Travel Nepal, Sumegh Tours and Travels Pvt. Ltd., Bon Travel & Tours Pvt. Ltd., Rupakot International Travel Pvt. Ltd., and Prabas Travel and Tours Pvt. Ltd. were acknowledged as the top-performing passenger agents for 2023. Seven Star International Travel and Tours Pvt. Ltd. received recognition for the highest revenue contribution via India.

In the cargo sector, the top agents for 2023 included Pioneer Cargo, Himalayan Travel & Tours Pvt. Ltd., Shangrila International Freight Pvt. Ltd., Legend Cargo Pvt. Ltd., and Muktinath De Cargo Pvt. Ltd. Each of these awardees demonstrated exceptional dedication and contributed significantly to Cathay’s success.

Until recently, Cathay Pacific operated four flights a week from Nepal’s Tribhuvan International Airport. Effective 3 April 2024, the airline increased frequencies to five flights a week, offering Nepalese customers more choices and better connectivity to Hong Kong and beyond. Key destinations from Nepal include Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland, South Korea, Japan, Australia, the United States, and Canada.

In addition to passenger services, Cathay continues to support the local economy through its air cargo services, ensuring vital goods reach their destinations swiftly and securely, living up to its brand ethos – "We Know How."
