Australia is now finally fully open to all vaccinated travellers after Western Australia was the last state in the Oceanic country to lift border restrictions. This decision has been due to the waning spread of COVID-19 in the state after contract tracing and isolation requirements have been effective against the spread of COVID-19.
While Australia had allowed some students, workers and tourists from specific countries were returning in 2021, the borders for vaccinated travellers only opened up for the general audience on Feb 21. This has been a sigh of relief to the Australian tourism sector which has been battered and bruised by two years of one of the harshest restrictions ever in the world
