The goal of the Nepal Hospitality Conclave's second edition is to spark ideas and produce proposals for a more sustainable and healthy hospitality and tourism sector in the next ten years.
Up to 200 participants and stakeholders from the hospitality industry are expected to gather in Kathmandu for the internationally recognized Nepal Hospitality Conclave (NHC) 2024. Beanstalk Asia Nepal, WaterComm, and Nepal Traveller are collaborating to host the second iteration of the two-day conclave in collaboration with the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) starting on September 26.
This year's exceptional hospitality event is being held in accordance with the government's declaration establishing the 2080s as Nepal's Tourism Decade and 2025 as a Special Tourism Year.
Furthermore, the event has been embraced in an effort to embody the spirit of the Nepal Tourism Decade. "The Decade Ahead" serves as its slogan.
The event aims to give investors, policymakers, regulators, stakeholders, experts, and enthusiasts from the hospitality sector a common platform where they can delve into the cross-sectional issues impacting and helping the sector grow in the future. The motto of the event is know more, meet more, and show more.
The hotel industry in Nepal was severely damaged during COVID-19, and while it is now slowly recovering, occasions such as these will assist rejuvenate and revive the industry.
"The objective is even bigger this time," say the organizers, who claim the conclave won't be limited to the deliberation on innovations, trends, business breakthroughs, strengths and challenges, collaborations, and potential Investments in the hospitality industry.
"The Conclave is a strategic platform for the industry to chart its path into the future. With large-scale investments, call for sustainable practices and the ever- growing competition, we cannot afford to waste a single moment," states Subodh Thapa, Chief Convener of the event and the co-founder of Beanstalk Asia Nepal.
The organizers want to create a white paper outlining the difficulties and prospects facing the hospitality industry, along with policy suggestions for the government to properly commemorate the Nepal Tourism Decade and Special Tourism Year 2025.
For the same reason, the conclave has organized unique panel discussions in which twenty domestic and international speakers will present on a range of topics. The Decade Ahead for Tourism in Nepal, Sustainable Tourism-Trends and Trajectories, The Role of Promotions, Connectivity, and Developed Infrastructure, and New Destinations-Enabling Hotel Operations with ITES are a few of the panel discussion themes.
