Paragliding begins in Sindhuli

The sport that falls into the category of adventure tourism is expected to contribute to the promotion of tourism in the Sindhuli

An adventure sport, paragliding, has begun at the commercial level in Sindhuli. It is the first of its kind in the district. The sport was launched on August 7, while its successful test was conducted on April 25, early this year. The service, based near Kamalamai Municipality 6, was started at a cost of Rs 2 million, according to proprietor Netra Jung Thapa.

It has been licensed to operate up to five paragliding flights simultaneously, and the fee per person on a flight is Rs 6,500. The locals are, however, entitled to an Rs. 1,000 discount per month.
