With the new change in policy, it means that if you were allowed to travel to Norway under pre-pandemic rules and requirements, you are freely allowed to enter the country once again

After two years of chaos and travel restrictions all around the world, many countries are starting to roll back their measures to open up their borders and slowly integrate into the global tourism and travel economy. But many countries are slowly rolling back restrictions with still conditions and measures for unvaccinated people or other cases. Meanwhile, Norway announced yesterday that all travel restrictions to come to the country has been lifted along with most of the restrictions inside the country.

The Norwegian prime minister announced that there is no requirement for vaccination certificates or testing or any other documentation related to COVID-19 when travelling to Norway. This change means that if you were allowed to travel to Norway under pre-pandemic rules and requirements, you are freely allowed to enter the country once again. But travellers still need to wear face masks while travelling on airlines and travel to Svalbard are still privy to the quarantine requirements.

Due to Omicron having milder symptoms than other variants, the Norwegian healthcare system was no longer in strain. Seeing this, the Norwegian has made drastic cuts to its measures. Now the isolation and testing procedures say that you should self-isolate for only 4 days. The government has also dropped the 1-meter rule and will not force people to wear face masks in the public. The government has announced that it will be assessing the changes in the protection measures and might update within the next few weeks.
