The Nepal Tourism Board recently wrapped up a series of destination and business promotion sessions in two cities in the Republic of Korea, which were met with resounding success. These sessions promise a strong revival of Korean outbound tourism to Nepal, as Korea continues to rank among the top ten source markets for Nepal.
In collaboration with the Embassy of Nepal in Seoul and the Korea Tours and Trekking Operators’ Association of Nepal (KOTTAN), the Nepal Tourism Board organized Nepal Tourism Promotion Events featuring B2B meetings in Gwangju on June 25 and Seoul on June 27, 2024. The events saw the participation of more than 100 Korean tour operators and media representatives, who were briefed on the current Nepalese tourism scenario.

The sessions highlighted the diverse attractions Nepal offers, from cultural and heritage sites to adventure tourism, aiming to attract a wide range of Korean travelers. Representatives from Nepal emphasized the country's readiness to welcome Korean tourists and the various measures in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable travel experience.
The Embassy of Nepal in Seoul and KOTTAN played crucial roles in facilitating these events, underscoring the importance of strong bilateral relations in boosting tourism. The Nepal Tourism Board's proactive approach in organizing these promotion sessions reflects its commitment to revitalizing the tourism sector post-pandemic and strengthening Nepal's position as a preferred destination for Korean travelers.

Through these promotional efforts, the Nepal Tourism Board aims to foster business networking, develop partnerships, and share information between the Nepalese and Korean travel communities. The ultimate goal is to tap into the potential of the Korean market, ensuring a steady flow of tourists to Nepal in the upcoming seasons.
