NC leader Poudel lauds local level's role in controlling COVID-19

Praising the local levels for playing an important role in preventing and controlling COVID-19, Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel handed over medical supplies including surgical masks, PPEs, towels and sanitizers to various local levels to deal with the infection.

Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel today praised local levels for playing an important role in preventing and controlling COVID-19.

"Local level is people's nearest government. We cannot ignore its role in this time of crisis," he said while handing over medical supplies to various local levels to deal with the infection, amid a function here. On a different note, leader Poudel said that the NC was ready to launch agitation against corruption, unemployment and discrimination.

Saying the government has turned back from carrying out wrongdoing due to positive role played by the press, he shared, “The press has been warning the government more than the opposition party. The role of the press is incomparable in this situation.”

On the occasion, he handed over 30 pieces towels, 300 pieces of surgical masks, 10 litres of sanitizer, 10 pieces of PPE to GP Koirala National Centre for Respiratory Diseases as well as 42 pieces of towels, 300 pieces of surgical masks, 10 litres of sanitizer and 10 pieces of PPE to Adikabi Bhanubhakta Campus.

Similarly, he also handed over towels, sanitizer, surgical masks, PPE to Bandipur rural municipality, Damauli Hospital, Bhimad municipality, Devghat Rural Municipality and Tanahun chapter of Federation of Nepali Journalists.
