NATTA President suggests the government to allow businesses following safety protocol

After the government announced a prohibitory order for Kathmandu Valley coming into effect from tomorrow, the reviving tourism industry is set to be facing another setback. The new restrictions are aimed at breaking the chain of coronavirus infection that has rapidly spread in the recent days. 
A joint meeting of the Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur on Monday decided to shut down everything except essential services.
Various tourism organizations have expressed their concerns with the decision. Achyut Guragain, the president of NATTA indicated towards managing the activities rather than the restrictions.
“We should learn to live with COVID. Anyone following the health protocol should be allowed to run their business and the government should understand this.” He said
In an interview with Nepal Traveller, he recommended the government to monitor the previous rules in ground situations to keep everyone safe and suggested that the government should not go for lockdown and let the economy keep flowing.
