Intrepid DMC Nepal and the Blue Dragon Children's Foundation have exemplified their unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of those in need

In a remarkable display of solidarity and commitment to a noble cause, Intrepid DMC Nepal successfully hosted the second annual 21-kilometer Blue Dragon Marathon Walk in the heart of Kathmandu. The event, part of a global initiative by the Blue Dragon Children's Foundation, aimed to raise funds for vulnerable children and victims of human trafficking in Vietnam.

In Vietnam, where one in five children grapples with poverty, the risk of dropping out of school and seeking work far from home is alarmingly high. These circumstances expose them to homelessness and the threat of human trafficking, a harrowing reality that the Blue Dragon Children's Foundation tirelessly strives to combat.

The Foundation provides a lifeline to Vietnamese children and families affected by human trafficking, offering critical services such as rescue and crisis care, safe shelter, legal advocacy, and sustained support for those directly impacted. Additionally, the Foundation extends its outreach to impoverished local communities at the highest risk.

Ashish Verma, the country general manager for Intrepid DMC Nepal, expressed his determination and pride in the event's outcome. "The Nepal DMC set a target of raising Rs. 100,000 by embarking on a 21-kilometer journey within Kathmandu. We're thrilled to announce that we exceeded our goal by raising Rs. 110,919," he shared.

In a global endeavor, the Intrepid Foundation successfully rallied support, collectively amassing over $280,000, surpassing their initial target of $250,000 for this noble cause. Verma emphasized that the foundation covers 100% of administrative costs, ensuring that every cent raised directly aids the youth in Vietnam.

The marathon walk, an inspiring testament to human compassion, commenced at the Intrepid DMC Nepal office in Lazimpat. Thirty dedicated participants embarked on a journey that took them through various scenic locales, including Maharajgunj, Hattigauda, Italitar, Chunikhel, Jagdol, Kapan, Sukedhara, and Dhumbarahi, before culminating back in Lazimpat. Covering a total distance of 21 kilometers, the event was not just a physical challenge but also a symbol of hope for a brighter future for vulnerable children in Vietnam.

Through this remarkable initiative, Intrepid DMC Nepal and the Blue Dragon Children's Foundation have exemplified their unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of those in need. The funds raised will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in reshaping the destinies of countless children and families affected by human trafficking in Vietnam, ushering in a brighter tomorrow.
