Himalaya Airlines, Nepal’s leading private international carrier,has announced the resumption of its direct flights to Kuwait, starting August 20, 2024. This strategic decision comes in response to the high demand from Nepali expatriates working and residing in Kuwait, reflecting the airline’s commitment to addressing the needs of its passengers.
The Kathmandu-Kuwait-Kathmandu route is in line with Himalaya Airlines' broader mission to foster stronger people-to-people connections, boost tourism, and strengthen trade relations between Nepal and Kuwait. The airline’s focus on connecting Nepal to key international destinations is underscored by this development, which aims to facilitate smoother travel for Nepali citizens and promote closer ties between the two nations. To further support its operations and enhance the customer experience, the airline has appointed Caesars Travel Group as its General Sales Agent (GSA) partner for Kuwait.
Initially, Himalaya Airlines will operate a weekly flight on the sector, with the possibility of increasing frequency based on passenger demand. The flight schedule is as follows: Kathmandu-Kuwait flight H9 571 will depart from Tribhuvan International Airport at 00:40 AM local time, arriving in Kuwait at 03:15 AM local time. The return flight, H9 572, will leave Kuwait at 04:15 AM and land in Kathmandu at 11:50 AM local time.
Himalaya Airlines is dedicated to connecting Nepal to the world, and the reinstatement of the Kuwait route is a testament to this commitment. Bookings for the route are now open, and passengers can make reservations through the airline’s sales office, Caesars Travel Group in Kuwait, the nearest travel agency, or the Himalaya Airlines website and mobile application.
