On the occasion of World Tourism Day, Pokhara, which has been recognized as a watercolour city in the field of art, has organised a solo art exhibition of artist Nagen Singh in collaboration with Nagen Art Academy and organised by Optimist Club of Lekhnath and promoted by Nepal Tourism Board. In Singh's twelfth solo art exhibition, the use of water colour, alcohol colour, achloric colour etc. has been used in various art from Himal to Terai. In the exhibition, there are pictures of picturesque landscapes of Himalayas, hills and plains, rivers and animals.
Along with the Himalayan and hill settlements in the exhibition, the abstract art also captivated the hearts of those who came there.
“33 different works of art were displayed in the art exhibition named 'Rethinking Tourism Art Exhibition'.” Said Artist Nagen Singh.
"It is important to bring every tourist destination of Nepal to the world through art. Stating that they will also play an important role, for this, the state should move forward by giving their role a proper place.” He added.
"Art is still not a priority of the state. Until the state prepares the conditions for artists to live through their art, this sector cannot develop." Said Kashiraj Bhandari, Head of Nepal Tourism Board Pokhara office.
“Stating that art itself is an important identity, we need to understand the fact that many places like the Louvre art museum in France are known to the world through art." He added.
