The government has clarified that while the quarantine requirements will be removed, PCR testing requirements will remain for incoming travellers

With the COVID-19 finally starting to wither and international travel is starting to reach pre-pandemic, Indonesia is considering taking that step by removing all quarantine requirements for travellers by April. While there has been a resurgence in cases, COVID-19 hospitalizations and fatality remains stable and under control.

Right now, the quarantine requirements for travellers has already been reduced from five to three days for travellers who have received the third dose. The government has clarified that while the quarantine requirements will be removed, PCR testing requirements will remain for incoming travellers.

In addition, the government is also easing restrictions within the country to improve mobility and intra-country travel, with increasing office capacity from 25 to 50 per cent. And with Singapore relaxing restrictions and the carrier Garuda Indonesia starting direct flights to Australia, the government will monitor the situation to lose travel restrictions further.
