Citizens of Nepal travelling to India will no longer be required to undergo the RT-PCR test starting February 14. The Indian government has made the decision to ease restrictions on overseas arrivals, now citizens from 82 countries including Nepal will upload their certificate of complete Covid-19 vaccination instead of prior RT-PCR negative results.
The vaccination status details have to be provided in a self-declaration form on the Air Suvidha online portal before scheduled travel. Travellers will have to include details of their 14-day travel history in the portal. Similarly, India has also gotten rid of the seven-day quarantine period and the Covid-19 test on the eighth day. According to the latest travel guidelines issued by the Government of India, travellers will now self-monitor their health for as long as 14 days of their arrival.
