India to Nepal for festive season

The number of people returning to the country has increased more than those going to India.

With Dashain and Tihar approaching, people are travelling to their hometowns. According to the border-based Armed Police Post Customs, many people are entering the country through the Trinagar Customs Checkpoint of Kailali.

As per Armed Police Post, 402 Nepalese entered Nepal from many cities, including Mathura, Pune, Gujarat, Surat, Mumbai, Goa, Delhi, etc. on Saturday, 353 on Sunday, 548 on Monday, 338 on Tuesday and 800 on Wednesday. The number of people returning to the country has increased more than those going to India.

\Most of the people from Kailali, Kanchanpur and other hilly districts of Sudurpaschim Province go to Mumbai, Delhi, Pithoragarh, Nashik, Punjab, Ahmedabad and other cities of India for employment.

Ramesh Khadka of Doti’s Adarsh Rural Municipality said, “I have been working in Mumbai for a really long time, and now I have returned home to celebrate the festival.”_Rss
