With a new surge of COVID-19 in the small country of Hong Kong, in addition to its already tightening restrictions, it has taken another step in clamping down on the spread of the virus. It has shut in-class teaching for two weeks up to March 16 and will distribute the Chinese-made Sinovac vaccine for children from age 3 and above.
The city recorded a record high cases of 2,074 cases in a single and projections shows that number is expected to double with over 4,500 preliminary positives identified. With the city strictly adhering to the 'zero-COVID' strategy and the words of the Chinese government, it is unlikely to lift any restrictions in the foreseeable future.
