In a concerted effort to boost tourism, the District Coordination Committee Kavrepalanchok and Kavre Seva Samaj jointly organized a "Cultural Peace Walk" that concluded successfully on Saturday. The event was held in commemoration of both World Peace Day and World Tourism Day, carrying the theme "Do something for Kavre." The walk spanned from Laiku Darbar in the cultural town of Panauti to Namobuddha Gumba via Sunthan-Shakhu.

The Cultural Peace Walk garnered praise as a promising initiative for tourism promotion. Participants and dignitaries alike recognized its significance, not only within Nepal but also on the international stage. They expressed confidence in its potential to further advance tourism.

Suryaman Dong, a Member of Parliament and central member of the CPN (Maoist Center), commended all those involved in the peace walk for contributing to its objectives. Gokul Prasad Baskota, a former minister and MP, believed that the peace walk could become a pivotal step towards global peace.

Tirtha Bahadur Lama, the Minister of Water Supply, Energy, and Irrigation of Bagmati Province, expressed his optimism that the walk would foster societal harmony. He emphasized the importance of collective cooperation and coordination for the holistic development of Kavre.

Kunsang Lama, the head of Namobuddha municipality, expressed confidence in the joint campaign's potential to promote harmony, peace, and prosperity in Kavrepalanchok district and across the nation, particularly in Namobuddha. He called for increased support to promote all tourist destinations in the district to facilitate tourism development.

Deepak Kumar Gautam, the head of the District Coordination Committee Kavrepalanchok, underscored that the peace walk was organized with the aim of making a positive impact on Kavre, which holds significant potential for tourism development in all its regions. Ravindra Karmarchaya, a participant from Kathmandu Koteshwar, believed that the walk would play a pivotal role in highlighting the historical significance of Namobuddha and Panauti and furthering tourism promotion.

Citizens from various districts, including Kavrepalanchok, actively participated in the World Cultural Peace Walk, demonstrating their commitment to promoting tourism through this unique event._Rss
