The construction of a model bus park has started in Janakpur Dham, the capital of Madhesh province. Metmani Chaudhary, the Urban Development Minister, laid the foundation for construction this past June. Pradeep Khanal, head of the Federal Project Implementation Unit, said that the construction of the bus park is attracting religious tourists.
"The present situation of the bus park is very questionable. We will soon renovate and reconstruct the bus park with new models and facilities, keeping in mind the modern requirement of the city," said Chief Khanal and signed the Construction Agreement.
Ambu Prasad Sah, Vice President of Janakpur Dham chamber of commerce and industry, says, "The construction of the bus park will contribute to the economic and tourism development. The recently started train service in Janakpur Dham has helped promote tourism, and the bus park's construction has excited us more.”
The bus park is the hub for many vehicles from various cities in India, and parking is the major problem of the bus park because of its narrow space. Thus, not only the people directly involved in the transportation business but also locals are happy and excited about the reconstruction project.
“After the complete construction and operation of the bus park, the services will directly run from and to Janakpur Dham from various places of India and Nepal, and it will increase the dedication for the economic development here," says Vice President Sah._Rss
