Cathay Pacific has made a remarkable comeback, securing a place among the world's top five airlines in the latest Skytrax World Airline Awards and winning the title of World’s Best Economy Class Airline. This impressive leap sees the airline climb three positions from last year, earning the fifth spot globally. Additionally, Cathay Pacific has been recognized as the World’s Cleanest Airline, further cementing its reputation for excellence.

These accolades follow closely on the heels of Cathay Pacific's recognition as the third best premium airline in the world by AirlineRatings, a notable rise of six places from the previous year. Ronald Lam, the Chief Executive Officer of the Cathay Group, expressed his gratitude and optimism about these achievements:
“We feel extremely encouraged to have moved from last year’s top 10 to this year’s top 5 according to Skytrax and AirlineRatings, both major airline industry rankings. These achievements highlight the huge strides we have made over the past year, both on the ground and in the air, and are a vote of confidence from our customers. Lam emphasized that these accolades are just the beginning. He reaffirmed Cathay Pacific's commitment to continuously improving and providing an unparalleled premium travel experience. “But we won’t stop there. These achievements will motivate us to continue to go above and beyond for our customers every step of the way as we strive to become the world’s best premium airline.”
Cathay Pacific is dedicated to enhancing its product and service offerings. The airline plans to launch new seat products over the next three years, beginning with the all-new Business class experience, Aria Suite, along with a new Premium Economy seat and a refreshed Economy class on its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft later this year.
In 2025, passengers can look forward to a new First class experience on the Boeing 777-9 aircraft, followed by a revamped cabin featuring a new flat-bed Business class product on the Airbus A330 in 2026. These innovations are part of Cathay Pacific's broader efforts to enhance lounges, dining, inflight entertainment, and digital experiences.
