Bridge to connect Nepal and India

The construction of a motorable solid bridge over the Mahakali Bridge in Darchula District has started.

The foundation stone for the project is jointly laid by Dilandra Prasad Badu, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies and Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, India

Minister Badu says, “The Bridge linking Nepal and India is necessary to increase the trade between two countries also hoping that the project would help in developing the countries. It would also help ease people's mobility between Baitadi and Bajhang districts.”

“The project would lighten the locals of hassles involving their visit to Gaddauchauki and Gauriphata, Indian cities for many purposes. This project would also build up religious and social relations between two countries.” Minister Badu added. The Assistance from the Government of India will help build the 110 metres long bridge._Rss
