The picturesque Ainapahara Waterfall, situated in Abukhaireni Rural Municipality-2, Tanahu district, has been steadily garnering attention from domestic tourists. Previously, the site lacked proper management, but significant efforts have transformed its appeal. Local representatives are working diligently to establish Ainapahara as a sought-after tourism destination, with the goal of making it a preferred resting place for tourists.
One noticeable change is the addition of artistic statues and structures meticulously carved into the natural rocks and stones found at Ainapahara. Abukhaireni Rural Municipality has initiated the creation of sculptures depicting a mother and son on these natural formations to enhance Ainapahara's allure, effectively drawing more visitors to the area.
A local resident, Bijay Gurung, expressed optimism about Ainapahara's potential, given its proximity to the Prithvi Highway. Chairperson of Abukhaireni Rural Municipality, Shukra Chuman, highlighted how the influx of tourists surged as people began sharing photos and videos of Ainapahara on social media platforms.
In the past fiscal year, a substantial budget of Rs 14 million was allocated for the construction of Ainapahara Park, further indicating the commitment to developing this site. Chuman articulated the municipality's ambitious vision, stating, "We have devised a comprehensive plan to transform Ainapahara into one of Gandaki Province's premier tourism destinations, not limited to Tanahu alone. Ongoing efforts are aimed at enhancing Ainapahara's overall attractiveness."
The rural municipality has also proposed the construction of exciting features such as sky-cycling and a glass walk bridge at the site. A detailed master plan has been prepared to ensure the systematic development of Ainapahara Waterfall, solidifying its position as a must-visit destination in the region._Rss
