Air service provider companies, which operate domestic flights, have affirmed that 80 percent of advance tickets are booked so far for Dashain. They have also increased the ticket fares along with the advance ticket. A while back, the Kathmandu Dhangadhi Air Fare was Rs. 7,500 but now it has increased to Rs. 17,000. Biratnagar-Kathmandu has the lowest ticket price. Biratnagar-Kathmandu one way fare has been fixed to Rs. 4,500 to Rs. 10,000.
Spokesperson Anil Manandhar, says, “80 percent of Shree Airlines’ tickets are already booked. Similarly, Buddha Air has booked 40 percent, Yeti Airlines has booked 70 percent and Guna Airlines has booked 80 percent. Up to 80 percent of Air tickets were booked before one week of Dashain.”
Prajwal Thapa, spokesperson of Guna Airlines says, “Both advance ticket booking and air fares have gone up. 70 percent tickets are already booked in advance for returning after Tihar.”_Rss
