With the global travel, aviation and tourism sector recovering, many airlines and tour operators and other organizations and institutions have been making or rekindling relationships with each other to strengthen and make gains in the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, in this way, has announced that it has added a new route from its base in Abu Dhabi to Sri Lanka.
More specifically, the route will fly from Abu Dhabi to the city of Mattala, Sri Lanka on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Known for its pristine beauty and natural climate and tropical environment, the airline introduces a new segment of travel by adding its first destination to south Asia which will allow customers from across the broader Wizz Air network.
Meanwhile, in addition to this agreement and the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that Sri Lanka signed up with Emirates, the South Asian country is gearing up to be a tourism destination for a worldwide audience
