With the latest news of Russian armed forces invading Ukrainian territory, many airlines have cancelled flights to Ukraine amidst the heavy bombardment and armed fighting in the country. The whole Ukrainian airspace has been closed off as the country fights with Russia. 

Wizz Air announced in a statement that the current events in Ukraine and the closure of airspace has caused the carrier to temporarily suspend all flights toward the country due to their concern of safety will passing through the airspace. airBaltic also has said that the airspace closure has meant all the flights to and from Ukraine will be cancelled at least until March 13th. 

This has been in addition to Lufthansa pulling out of Ukraine as tensions mounted and Air-France KLM cancelling flights into the country.
